Corona Extra Lets Nature Finish Their OOH Ad

Calling this one “just an advertisement” would almost undermine what it really is.

Across several coastal locations in Latin America,  Corona Extra installed extremely minimal structures in open landscapes. Each installation was nothing more than a thin metal outline shaped like the unmistakable Corona bottle.

No printed visuals, no background panel, no product photography, and no lighting rigs trying to dramatize the scene.

At first glance, the frame looks almost unfinished. But the real idea only reveals itself when the day begins to close.

As the sun approaches the horizon, the golden light begins to align with the bottle’s silhouette. Gradually, the sky fills the empty frame, the horizon becomes the base of the bottle, and the descending sun appears like a glowing drop inside it. For a brief moment, the sunset itself becomes the beer.

The installation does not manufacture the image; it just waits for the environment to complete it, and that's the beauty of this campaign.

This is where the idea becomes more than clever outdoor design. It reflects a philosophy that Corona has been building for decades. The brand has consistently associated itself with beaches, open skies, and the quiet ritual of watching the sun disappear over water.

Rather than staging those moments artificially, the campaign simply places a frame where those experiences already happen.

Anyone passing by during the right hour witnesses the transformation naturally. Some stop to photograph it, others simply stand there and watch the sky slowly turn amber behind the outline.

That behaviour becomes part of the campaign itself. Instead of interrupting people with a message, the installation invites them to pause and notice something they would normally rush past.

The brand enters the scene not through loud communication but through a subtle presence.

And for a few minutes each evening, the horizon quietly turns into the world’s most natural-looking glass of beer - Corona.
